Under Construction

There is going to be a little construction going on around this site for a bit. James has finally broken down (after months of begging) and is working on my new site design. It's a work in progress but I didn't want to stop blogging while he fixed it, so you will see it change often.


Funnies

This weekend we are going to my cousin's little boy's one year birthday party. James has volunteered to bar-b-que for the bunch, which will be about 20 people. He loves to bar-b-que and makes some killer ribs, so he jumps at any chance he has. We've been getting stuff together this week and last night we went to the grocery store to pick up all the bar-b-quing necessities. The grocery store was packed and we were trying to get out of there so James was helping the sacker sack our groceries. I was standing right in front of the register just kind of listening in on there conversation. As the sacker was doing his job he asked, "Are you guys having a bar-b-que?" Right then and there I busted out laughing. I know that he was just trying to make conversation, but it just really struck me as funny. I mean what was his first clue? Could it have been the wood for smoking? The charcoal? Maybe it was the chicken and sausage? The big time clue, the beer? I know, I'm mean, but it was just really funny to me and honestly still is!

Comments

I've been thinking about comments. If someone comments on my blog I always go to their blog and look around, read and comment. Sometimes some of you comment and I want to say something directly to you and about your comment, but going to your blog and replying doesn't really make sense. I've seen a lot of people reply in the comment section and I'm going to start doing that. I don't have a ton of comments yet, but I do want to reply to the ones that I get. If you comment come back and look for your reply.

Reading

I know that I talked about reading yesterday and I wanted to add this to that post, but forgot. Do any of you use GoodReads.com? I just started using it, but it is a good way to keep up with what you have read and what you thought about the book. You can go around and read reviews on books or find a recommendation. They have tons of lists of different types of books so it's easy to find something that you would want to read. Take a look, if you are like me it will help you remember what you have read. haha
