I would like to warn all of you that this blog is being written while I am on pain medication, which will be fully explained later. If I say anything crazy, it's the meds, too bad I can't use that excuse all the time.
On with the weekend wrap up.
Friday night was great. My girlfriend and I had a great meal with a couple of beers and some great conversation. After that we were off to Twilight. I have NEVER seen a more random bunch of people in my life. Of course there were plenty of tween girls, but thrown into the bunch were more grown women and men than I expected. The movie was pretty cheesy but I actually enjoyed it. Was it as good as the book? Absolutely NOT! After seeing the previews I wasn't that excited about the people they chose to play the characters I had already created in my mind, but by the end of the movie I was much happier with them. Edward got sexier as the movie went on and the others grew on me as well. I think that the bad reviews that I have read are right in some places, but we all have to remember that this is a YOUNG ADULT NOVEL, so it is only right that they would aim the movie in the same direction. The movie brought in 70 million dollars this weekend and New Moon is already in the works. I will be going to see every one that they put out!
Saturday was laid back, I slept until 9, got up and worked a little on the house, then around 4 we both laid down and took a much needed nap. We are so exhausted from the last three weeks of working on this house and it was nice to get to enjoy our new furniture. It is pretty comfy sleeping.
Sunday is where things get fun. James let me sleep again until about 9. When I got up I requested pancakes, so we were off to IHOP. While we were there James' parents called and they were here from a neighboring town so they showed up and had breakfast with us. My mother in law has had my car and we have had their car and trailer for all of the work we needed to do. After breakfast we all came to the house and James needed to get some stuff out of their car. The dogs were in the garage and it needed to be opened so I was chosen to get them in the house and with a 60 pound crazy lab puppy, that is easier said than done. I got them in the house and was closing the garage door that enters the house when that 60 pound puppy came barreling at me from the living room, when she hit the kitchen floor she slid right into the side of my leg knocking my knee out of the socket. As I hit the floor my knee went back in and I was in some MAJOR pain. I laid in the kitchen floor while James and the in laws discussed what needed to be done. When I couldn't pick myself up out of the floor they decided that I should go to the hospital. So instead of watching football, unpacking and spending our Sunday having a relaxing day, we spent it in the emergency room for 7 hours with NO pain meds and with a lot of sick people. I have a couple of unbelievable stories about the emergency room and I actually told James at one point, I wish I had my computer so that I could live blog this experience. There are some crazy people in this world and a lot of them were in the emergency room with us. Those stories will be told, but it is going to have to be later. That pain pill is really starting to kick in and I'm afraid that I will not be able to keep my eyes open much longer. It says on the bottle "May Cause Drowsiness" and it was not kidding!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and your Monday is delightful. You all go out into the world and I will sit here in my recliner and make sure that all the morning talk shows are watched, laughed at and enjoyed.
*ETA*
Mama Kat is having a contest! Go check it out, the earrings are beautiful and would be a great gift to yourself. Also check out Jessica's website to view all of the jewelry and if you are looking for me a Christmas present, I choose this.

I hate that it happened, but hey... at least you got an excuse now to chill out and let me wait on you hand and foot?
;)
OMgosh,I'm so sorry that happened to you! But now you have an excuse to sit around all day and blog funny, "I'm high on pain pills", stories!
I just read izzy's side of the story. Stay off the knee and feel better.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry that happened! My Mom's puppy tripped her down a flight of stairs once and broke her shoulder. Gotta love the dogs though! Hope you feel better soon!
